Each year, the Birmingham Public School District offers career and technical education programs at both Groves and Seaholm High Schools.  These programs are designed to prepare youth for a broad range of employment and continuing education opportunities and are offered under the guidance of certified teachers, counselors, and cooperative education coordinators.  Students who attend Birmingham Public Schools are able to access programs at either school via the student shuttle bus that runs between each building, each hour.  The following is a list of programs being offered during the 2014-2015 school year.

All career and technical education programs follow the district’s nondiscrimination policy which states:  The Board of Education is committed to maintaining a learning/working environment in which all individuals are treated with dignity and respect, free from discrimination and harassment.  There will be no tolerance for discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, genetic information, disability or age.  The District prohibits harassment and other forms of discrimination whether occurring at school, on District property, in a District vehicle, or at any District related activity or event.  The Superintendent will designate compliance officers and develop and implement regulations for the reporting, investigation and resolution of complaints of discrimination or harassment.
 
In addition, arrangements can be made to ensure that the lack of English language proficiency is not a barrier to admission or participation.
